Site Lock is a security feature we've implemented for the websites on free trial accounts to prevent unauthorized access. When enabled, it ensures that only authorized users can view and work on the site.
Where to find Site Lock and how it works
Site Lock is visible as a login prompt when accessing your website. When attempting to visit the site, you will be asked to enter a username and password before proceeding. If you are on a free trial plan, you will need to use the credentials provided in your 10Web dashboard to unlock access.
To obtain your Site Lock login credentials, you need to follow the steps provided below:
- Sign in to your my.10web.io Dashboard.
- Locate the Live Environment section.
- Above this section, you will notice a notification indicating that Site lock is on.
- Click on the Edit button within the same section.
- A pop-up window will appear, displaying the Username and Password. Please copy and paste these credentials into the Sign-in Window.
How to permanently disable Site Lock
You have the option to permanently disable the Site Lock functionality by either pointing a domain to your website or by purchasing any of our platform plans.
- Pointing a Custom Domain: Assigning a domain to your website will remove the Site Lock restriction.
- Upgrading to a Pro Plan: Any of the Pro platform plans will automatically disable Site Lock, providing unrestricted access to your site.
By following these steps, you can easily manage Site Lock and ensure smooth access to your website during your trial period or after upgrading.
