A gradient background can add depth and perspective to a website by combining two colors that blend into one another.
Adding a gradient background
To add a gradient background:
- Select the container you want to modify within your canvas.
- From the left-hand settings panel, navigate to Style > Background Type.
- Click the Gradient icon to access Gradient Settings.
- Click the color tile to set the first gradient color under Color.
- Under Location, use the slider to adjust the color spread.
Note:
Location determines where each of the colors will start to fade.
- Set the second gradient color under the Second color.
- Adjust the location of the second color to control its spread.
- Choose the type of gradient: Linear or Radial.
If you choose Linear: Set the gradient angle to determine the orientation of the color blend.
If you choose Radial: Select the position from which the color blend should radiate.
Lastly, you can also add Vertical, Horizontal, Transparent, Blur, and Scaling scrolling effects.
