10Web Website Builder provides multiple methods for selecting colors for your website's text, background, and other elements. You can set global colors and create new colors for any element where the option to customize and set color is available.
Custom or default colors
Click the globe icon to select from your predefined global colors, ensuring a consistent design palette throughout your site.
Color picker
To pick a specific color, click on the color swatch to launch the color controls and options.
- Clear: If you need to start over, the clear function removes any color input, resetting your selection. Simply click on the round arrow to reset.
- Create a new global color: Allows you to create a global color by clicking on the plus icon at the top of the color field. Find more details on global colors here.
Color sampler
The Color Sampler lets you develop a harmonious color palette derived from your webpage's existing content. It's particularly adept at selecting complementary colors from images and other page elements to form a cohesive color scheme.
How to use the color sampler
To use the color sampler:
- Click on an element where you would like to change the color
- Click on the Style tab of the element and navigate to the color section
- Click on the Color swatch then click on the Color Sampler icon (eyedropper)
- Move your cursor over the page and click to choose your desired area. The Color Sampler will propose five complementary colors from the chosen area
- Select the color you want by clicking on it
Quick tip:
You can name and save these colors within your site's Global Settings by clicking Set as Global, making them readily available for consistent branding.
- Color range and exact selection: Drag the slider to navigate through the color spectrum, and click within the square to pinpoint your exact color choice.
- Opacity adjustment: Modify the transparency of your color with the opacity slider.
Note:
Any color you create or choose will have its code written in the field in front of the color system types.
- Color codes: If you have a specific color in mind, you can directly input its code using one of the three color coding systems: HEXA (Hexadecimal), RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha), or HSLA (Hue, Saturation, Lightness, Alpha).
