Setting up a merchant account with 10Web Payments involves completing a form where you provide your business and banking details. You can access this form directly from the Ecommerce menu on your 10Web dashboard. For detailed instructions on how to submit your application, please refer to our dedicated guide.
In rare instances, applications may be declined. If this happens, you will receive an email with an account status update, as well as an error message on your dashboard.
Steps to address a declined application
Step 1: Check if your business deals with any prohibited products
During the application process, you'll be shown a list of unsupported products and services. Review this list carefully to ensure your business does not fall into one of these categories. If your business is found to be involved with restricted areas during the review, your application will be denied. Prohibited business areas include:
- Adult content & services
- Alcohol as the main product (liquor stores, bars, wineries)
- Binary options, cryptocurrencies
- CBD (Learn more about selling CBD on your site)
- Financial products & services
- Firearms & weapons
- Gambling, lotteries, skill games
- Medical devices (prescription-only and regulated medical devices)
- Nutraceuticals (prescription only) & dietary supplements
- Tobacco & e-cigarettes
Step 2: Check availability in your country
10Web uses Stripe as its payment processing provider. Stripe supports payments in 46 countries, and more are being added. When submitting your application, you'll see a list of supported countries. You can also check Stripe’s country availability here: https://stripe.com/global.
If your country isn’t on the supported list, your 10Web Payments application will be declined. If it is marked as “Extended Network” or “Invite Only,”, contact Stripe support team for the setup of the account.
Step 3: Contact customer care team
If your business complies with the limitations above, but your application is still rejected, please reach out to our Customer Care Team for further investigation and assistance.
