The Facebook Embed widget enables you to showcase Facebook content directly on your website. Depending on the type of embed selected (Post, Video, or Comment), various options are available to customize the display.
Note:
The widget may not display in Mozilla browsers if Strict Mode is enabled.
Adding Facebook Embed widget
Add the Facebook Embed widget to the canvas. For details, see Add Elements article.
Note:
Ensure your Facebook App ID is set in the Elementor Settings > Integrations tab.
Content tab
Select the Type of Facebook content you want to embed: Post, Video, or Comment.
Post
- URL: Enter the URL of the Facebook post you wish to embed.
- Full Post: Toggle ON to show the full text of the post or OFF to display a shorter version.
Video
- URL: Enter the URL of the Facebook video you want to embed.
- Full Post: Toggle ON to show the full post text or OFF to display a shorter version.
- Allow Full Screen: Toggle ON to enable fullscreen video playback.
- Autoplay: Toggle ON to automatically play the video when the page loads.
- Captions: Toggle ON to display video captions if available (only shown on desktop devices).
Comment
- URL: Enter the URL of the Facebook comment you wish to embed.
- Parent Comment: Toggle ON to include the parent comment if the selected comment is a reply.
Note:
Autoplay functionality may be affected by Google’s Autoplay policy on Chrome browsers.
Advanced tab
You can customize the widget further using the settings available in the Advanced tab. These options provide additional styling and functionality adjustments, allowing you to tailor the widget to better fit your design needs.
Note:
Ensure European users accept cookies and are logged in to Facebook for like, share, or comment buttons to appear.
