Does 10Web support IPv6 addresses?

10Web supports adding AAAA type records for IPv6 addresses in the dashboard’s Manage DNS section. However, we are not planning to use IPv6 for our servers in the near future, as we're using Google Cloud servers which provide ample IPv4 resources.

Does 10Web support WP CLI  or provide WP CLI integration?

At 10Web, we provide WP CLI support by default for all hosted sites. You can access WP CLI through SSH, offering you a command-line interface for managing your WordPress sites.

Can XML import be enabled for a 10Web hosted site?

To ensure the safety of your sites and data, XML import is disabled for 10Web hosting. However, it can be enabled temporarily to accommodate certain plugin functionalities. Please, contact our support team in such case to submit your XML import request for review by our Technical Team

How many PHP workers does a hosted site have?

By default, each hosted site includes three PHP workers. If your site's setup or installed plugins require more, you can request additional PHP workers by contacting the Customer Care team.
For high-traffic, resource-demanding websites, we also offer Dedicated Hosting options with unmatched PHP and server hardware specifications.

What are the inode limits / file count limits for hosted sites?

The inode limit for each 10Web hosted site is 568151798.

Does 10Web host in Amazon (AWS) Cloud?

10Web uses Google Cloud for hosting the websites and AWS (Amazon Route 53) for creating zones for DNS records. 

What counts as a WordPress installation at 10Web?

At 10Web, a fresh WordPress installation encompasses:

• WP Core files (the latest available WordPress version)
• Theme (Builder Theme by default, but you are free to change to any theme of your choice_ 
• Plugin files (We pre-install Speed Booster, 10Web Builder & Elementor, with the addition of WooCommerce and WooPayments on ecommerce sites generated with AI)
• MySQL (v8) database. 
• PHP (versions 7.4 up to the latest version)

The number of WordPress installations you have depends on your subscription plan and the number of websites you own.

Will my websites get a dedicated IP?

Please note that our standard plans do not include a dedicated IP option. However, we provide a dedicated IP with our cloud hosting. For more information, please visit our dedicated hosting plans page.

Can I have multiple databases for single websites?

At 10Web, each hosted website is allocated a single database only. Multiple databases for a single website are not supported.

Does 10Web use cPanel?

10Web does not use cPanel. Instead, we provide our own WordPress management dashboard, equipped with all the website management tools you need for creating, accessing, and customizing your websites.
On your 10Web dashboard, you can:

• Find credentials for SFTP/SSH to access and manage website files.
• Access phpMyAdmin to manage your database.
• View the server logs of your website.
• Control website cache.
• Change your PHP version and edit PHP resources.
• Create and restore backups, and much more.

Are there any limits on database connections per site?

Yes, the maximum number of concurrent database connections per site is set at 214.

How does 10Web calculate monthly visitors?

Our method for calculating the number of monthly visitors to your website is based on the unique IP addresses captured in the Nginx access logs each day. It's important to note that our system recognizes each distinct IP address as a separate visitor.

In the course of our assessment, we consider a user as a visitor when:

• The user lands on your website and loads a page,
• The user navigates through multiple pages on your site,
• The user utilizes more than one browser to access your website,
• The user shares their internet connection with other visitors to your site.

Please be aware that if a single user accesses your site from different locations within a single day, it may be counted as multiple visits. For instance, if a visitor navigates to your website from both their workplace and home, we will count that as two visits due to the change in their IP address. Our system is designed to provide an accurate count of monthly visitors, thus ensuring you get a realistic measure of your website's traffic and engagement.

Is the ionCube Encoder PHP extension available on 10Web hosted sites?

The ionCube encoder PHP extension is enabled by default for all PHP versions supported on 10Web.io hosting.

Can I run node.js scripts on my 10Web-hosted WordPress installation?

While you can install node.js and run those scripts with your WordPress installation, please note that we do not provide setup and ongoing support for such scripts, and you’ll need to set it up by yourself.

What will be my sites’ Hosting PHP setup and configurations at 10Web?

The hosting settings for websites at 10Web include:

• Supported PHP versions:  7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 
• MySQL version: 8
• memory_limit = 256M
• post_max_size = 128M
• max_execution_time = 300
• upload_max_filesize = 128M
• max_input_time = 300
• max_input_vars = 10000
• PMEM, IO speed, IOPS, EP, NPROC are all scalable

If the default limitations are causing issues with your website, you can increase the following limitations from your 10Web dashboard > Hosting Services > Tools section:

• Memory limit
• Max post size
• Upload limit
• Execution time

Can I ping the domain of a 10Web-hosted site?

For security reasons, pinging has been disabled for all hosted websites. Therefore, this service will not provide any data. Pinging only works on domains that use Cloudflare because it pings Cloudflare servers.

What are the RAM and CPU configurations for 10Web hosted sites?

At 10Web, our virtual machines allocate hardware resources like RAM/CPU to each site container on an as-needed basis. This automatic allocation ensures efficient use of resources and optimal performance for your website.

Will 10Web be expanding its data center locations?

Absolutely. We commonly establish new data centers as per the needs of our clients. If you have any specific locations in mind, do let us know through our Submit your Idea page. We take the highest-voted suggestions into account when considering new data center locations.

What PHP versions does your platform support?

At 10Web, we ensure that our platform is up-to-date with the latest PHP versions, from 7.4 to 8.3. You can manage these versions from the Tools section under Hosting Services.

What is the SSD storage allocation for each plan?

The SSD storage allocation differs depending on the subscription plan you have. You will face the following extra charges in the case of exceeding the limitations of your plan. You can review the storage allocations for each plan on our pricing page.

Does 10Web provide load balanced solutions across multiple locations?

Currently, 10Web does not offer load-balanced solutions. Each website operates in an isolated container.

Does 10Web provide fragment caching?

Unfortunately, as of now, we do not provide fragment caching. Instead, we offer several potent types of caching: Nginx server cache, Speed Booster’s frontend page cache and Cloudflare Enterprise CDN cache (as an add-on).

Can I use a reverse proxy with 10Web?

Yes, we can set up a reverse proxy, but only the Website Booster service from 10Web Dashboard services will function on that website since it's a custom solution. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

• Migrate both websites to 10Web.
• Point both domains to 10Web.
• Contact customer care and let us know which websites you want the reverse proxy on.

Once both websites are hosted on 10Web and their domains are pointed to 10Web, we can set up a custom configuration for you.

Can I set up Cron jobs at 10Web?

You can establish cron jobs on your website but with some limitations. 

Cron jobs within WordPress can be added through the WordPress admin dashboard using cron management 3rd party plugins. However, if you want to add system cron jobs, contact our customer service team with details about the type of system cron job you wish to add. Following a review and approval by our technical team, we'll add the cron job on your behalf.

How to enable XMLRPC for a 10Web hosted site?

For security purposes, XML-RPC is disabled on all our hosted websites. However, if you are aware of the underlying risks still want to enable it, please contact us.

How to create an additional database for my sites hosted at 10Web?

At 10Web, we don’t provide database creation access to users. Currently, you are only allowed to have one database per site.

How to check the jQuery library version for 10Web hosted sites

The jQuery library is included by WordPress, not by web hosting providers. Plugins and themes can rewrite the jQuery version. You can check the jQuery version on your website by using this command in the browser console section: jQuery().jquery. Here’s how to do that using Google Chrome:

• Navigate to your website in your browser
• Open Developer Tools by right-clicking and choosing Inspect
• Select the Console tab
• Place your cursor on the first line and enter jQuery().jquery to see the version

Do you support multisite migration?

Currently, 10Web does not support automatic or manual multisite migration.

Will a sudden surge in traffic bring my website down?

Not at all. 10Web leverages elastic scaling, ensuring resources can expand according to your website's needs, and effectively handling traffic spikes.

Does 10Web provide support for Git integration?

As of now, Git integration support is not offered by 10Web. However, we are constantly looking to improve our services, and it is included in our future plans.

Am I able to add custom PHP scripts?

Yes, you can add any custom PHP to your sites via WordPress shortcodes, code snippets of 3rd party plugins, custom child themes or by uploading those via SFTP (within reasonable security limitations, please note that we have an automated malware scan implemented on our platform infrastructure will block any suspicious PHP scripts).

On staging, can I push only the database live?

While our general recommendation is to push the entire staging website to live, we understand there might be use cases where only pushing the database is desired. As such, we're planning to add a feature for this in the near future.

How to enable save_comments PHP option? 

The save_comments function is responsible for handling the submission and storage of user comments on your WordPress site. When a user submits a comment, this function processes the comment data, validates it, and then saves it to the WordPress database. 

When using third-party tools like Square for WooCommerce, you might encounter an error message like this:

"Invalid OPcache config: Please ensure the save_comments PHP option is enabled."

This error indicates that the save_comments PHP option is not enabled. Please contact customer care for assistance with this issue.

How to solve critical errors triggered by 10Web Manager plugin

There are several cases where a fatal error may be triggered while attempting to install or activate the 10Web Manager Plugin:

• If your website is hosted by 10Web, 10Web Manager plugin is already installed as a must-use plugin, eliminating the need for a manual installation. 
• If the website is not hosted with 10Web, locate the wp-content/mu-plugins directory of your website and delete the 10web-manager folder.
