How to recover 10Web hosted websites that were deleted on plan expiration?
All requests to restore websites deleted after hosting plan expiration should be submitted to our Customer Care team upon account renewal. The time frame during which the request can be submitted depends on your subscription plan:
- Free plans: Demo sites can be restored within 14 days after the demo plan expiration. Create a new website on a data center of your choice and contact our Customer Care team to restore the demo site on it.
- 7-day trial: We delete trial websites 1 month after the trial expiration and store their backups for 3 months afterward.
- Paid plans: We delete Pro plan websites 1 month after the paid plan expiration and store their backups for 6 months afterward.
Websites deleted by the website owner directly cannot be restored. We do not keep backups if a workspace owner deletes the website themselves. Thus, make sure to make and download a backup of the site you’re about to delete from the dashboard.
Why does SFTP connection fail?
If you're experiencing an SFTP connection failure, check the below points:
- Make sure the SFTP credentials you're entering for accuracy are right. You can find these credentials on your 10Web dashboard under Services > Credentials.
- We use a custom port for SFTP access. We don’t use the default SFTP port 21 and 22. Therefore, ensure you are using the port copied from Hosting Services > Credentials.
- Make sure you are using SFTP protocol instead of the FTP. For these cases you will see the error message: “Cannot establish FTP connection to an SFTP server. Please select the proper protocol”.
In case you are still facing issues, contact our support team for review.
