Tags are keywords or labels that are used to categorize or describe and help to identify the content’s topic, theme, or purpose. Tags can be helpful for users who are searching for specific content, looking to explore a particular topic, or in this case, searching for specific websites.
You can assign tags to your websites in the 10Web dashboard then use the tags to filter and find your websites.
How to add, create, and assign tags
To use the tag management feature in the 10Web dashboard, you will first need to log in to your 10Web dashboard.
This will land you on the Main dashboard view of your 10Web account. This is where you can see the thumbnails of all of your websites. This is also where you can add, create, and assign tags to your websites.
Each website thumbnail has a checkbox next to its title and URL.
To add, create, and assign tags:
- Tick the checkbox of the website you want to assign a tag
Note:
f you want to assign tags in bulk, tick the checkbox next to the Filter by tag dropdown menu, at the top of the website thumbnails.
- Click on the blue +Assign Tags button
A box with a list of the existing tags will open.
- Tick the checkbox in front of the tags you want to use and click Save
To create a new tag:
- Click on the +Assign a tag button located at the bottom of the box
- Fill in the word or phrase you want to use
- Click Add
- Click Save to assign the tag to the chosen website/s
The newly created tag will be added to the list and automatically selected.
To edit or delete a tag, click on the corresponding icon located next to the tag.
Bulk editing
The 10Web website tag management tool enables you to modify website tags in bulk. After selecting the desired websites for tag management, you will have access to the following options:
- Check mark in checkbox - all selected websites have that tag
- Line in checkbox - some of the selected websites have that tag
- Empty checkbox - none of the selected websites have that tag
You can modify the tags to apply to all selected websites, or remove them from all selected websites simply by clicking on the checkbox until you get a checkmark, a line, or an empty box.
Filtering
To filter through your websites using the tags:
- Click on the Filter by tag drop down menu
- Tick the checkbox in front of the tags you want to filter
The websites to which the selected tags are assigned will appear in the dashboard.
