If you're attempting to add an additional MX or TXT record to your DNS settings in your 10Web dashboard, you might encounter a Record already exists error message.
This typically happens when you click the Add DNS Record button and attempt to add another record to a DNS record type that already exists. Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to handle this situation and successfully add your additional records:
- Go to your 10Web dashboard and click Manage on the site experiencing issues.
- Click on Hosting Services > Domains.
- Click Manage DNS beside your domain name in the Primary Domain section.
- Locate the record type you want to edit and click on the pencil icon. This will open the edit dialog for that record.
- Depending on the record type, enter the additional record on a new line, or click the + icon to add a new record.
- For TXT records, enter the new TXT value on a new line in the provided text box, then click Add New DNS Record.
- For MX records, fill in the required details in the next available fields, or click on the + icon to add another empty record field. Click Save when finished
- For TXT records, enter the new TXT value on a new line in the provided text box, then click Add New DNS Record.
