Load speed of your website is an essential part of customer retention. The faster your website loads, the better the customer experience. Fast loading websites instill more trust in visitors. Thus, visitors are more likely to explore your products and services and become returning customers.
Slow loading is a common issue with WordPress websites. Most of the time this is due to hosting not geared towards WP, website not caching, and data that is too large.

Lazy loading postpones the loading of non essential information and loads them when they are needed. For example, when loading the landing page of a website, everything on that page will load first to assure fast page load speed. All the information that is in other pages will load as you either scroll through the site, or click to go to a given page.

JS and CSS File Compression and Exclusion from Compression
Another way to ensure fast loading of your website is to compress your JS and CSS files, making them lighter. Here you can also choose to compress inline JS and CSS and exclude any JS and CSS files from compression. This will assure that your website runs smoothly and quickly.
Also, enable all CSS files to load Asynchronously, loading your site simultaneously instead of sequentially, and disable CSS files you don't want to load asynchronously.
When you are done configuring the settings, make sure to Save and Clear Cache.
