The process of purchasing a domain name is different for each registrar. For purposes of demonstration, we will be using GoDaddy.
Once on their website, click on domains to get started. In the search field, enter the domain name you would like to use. Look through the available options and choose one that is best for you by clicking Add to Cart.
Click on Continue to Cart to proceed with the purchase.
Choose any of the extra features that you would like, then click Continue to Cart.
Select the duration of your domain name registration.
If you already have an account, at this point you can sign in to complete the purchase or create an account to complete the purchase.
Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to choose a payment method. Fill in all the necessary information, click Save then Complete Purchase.
