The Video widget allows you to embed videos from different platforms directly onto your website. You can customize video controls, play buttons, and other display settings.
Content tab
In the Content tab, you can include videos from a variety of sources, such as YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, and VideoPress, or upload your own. Each source comes with its own set of customization features for your video.
Youtube
- Source: Set the origin of the video content.
- Link: Add your video link.
- Start Time: Set the start time for the video (in seconds).
- End Time: Set the end time for the video (in seconds).
- Autoplay: Choose whether the video should start playing automatically when someone visits the page.
- Play On Mobile: You can also enable autoplay for mobile devices.
- Mute: Toggle to "YES" if you want the video to start without sound.
- Loop: Toggle to "YES" to play the video on a continuous loop.
- Player Controls: Decide whether to show or hide buttons like Play, Pause, and Volume.
- Modest Branding: Toggle to "YES" to hide YouTube’s logo during playback (the logo still appears on the thumbnail).
- Privacy Mode: Toggle ON or OFF. When ON, YouTube won’t store information about visitors to your website unless they play the video.
- Lazy Load: Enable this option to load the video only when someone clicks the play button.
Vimeo
- Source: Set the origin of the video content.
- Link: Add a YouTube video link.
- Start Time: Set the start time for the video (in seconds).
- End Time: Set the end time for the video (in seconds).
- Autoplay: Choose whether the video should start playing automatically when someone visits the page.
- Play On Mobile: Enable autoplay for mobile devices.
- Mute: Toggle to "YES" if you want the video to start without sound.
- Loop: Toggle to "YES" to play the video on a continuous loop.
- Privacy Mode: Slide to turn ON or OFF. Activating this option ensures Vimeo refrains from storing visitor information on your website unless the video is played.
- Intro Title: Opt to Display or Hide the introductory title.
- Intro Portrait: Select to Show or Hide the introductory portrait.
- Intro Byline: Decide whether to Reveal or Conceal the introductory byline.
- Controls Color: Choose the color scheme for control buttons such as Play/Pause.
Dailymotion
- Source: Set the origin of the video content.
- Link: Input the URL of the video you want to embed.
- Start Time: Set the start time for the video (in seconds).
- Autoplay: Choose whether the video should start playing automatically when someone visits the page.
- Play On Mobile: Enable autoplay for mobile devices.
- Mute: Toggle to "YES" if you want the video to start without sound.
- Player Controls: Decide whether to show or hide buttons like Play, Pause, and Volume.
- Video Info: Decide whether to display or conceal details about the video, such as its title.
- Logo: This setting allows you to choose whether to display or hide the logo associated with the video.
- Controls Color: Choose the color scheme for control buttons such as Play/Pause.
VideoPress
- Source: Set the origin of the video content.
- External URL: If your VideoPress video is stored in your website's Media Library, keep the toggle set to No. You can then select or upload the video directly from the media library.
- Choose Video File: If the video is not located in your Media Library, switch the toggle to Yes. This will prompt a text box to appear, allowing you to enter the URL of the video file.
- Start Time: Input the specific time (in seconds) at which you want the video to begin playing.
- Autoplay: Choose whether the video should start playing automatically when someone visits the page.
- Play On Mobile: Enable autoplay for mobile devices.
- Mute: Toggle to "YES" if you want the video to start without sound.
- Loop: Toggle to "YES" to play the video on a continuous loop.
- Player Controls: Decide whether to show or hide buttons like Play, Pause, and Volume.
Self Hosted
- Source: Set the origin of the video content.
- External URL: If your VideoPress video is stored in your website's Media Library, keep the toggle set to No. You can then select or upload the video directly from the media library.
- Choose Video File: If the video is not located in your Media Library, switch the toggle to Yes. This will prompt a text box to appear, allowing you to enter the URL of the video file.
- Start Time: Input the specific time (in seconds) at which you want the video to begin playing.
- End Time: Specify the precise time (in seconds) at which you want the video to stop playing.
- Autoplay: Choose whether the video should start playing automatically when someone visits the page.
- Play On Mobile: Enable autoplay for mobile devices.
- Mute: Toggle to "YES" if you want the video to start without sound.
- Loop: Toggle to "YES" to play the video on a continuous loop.
- Player Controls: Decide whether to show or hide buttons like Play, Pause, and Volume.
- Download Button: Choose whether to display or hide the download option.
- Poster: Choose the initial visual placeholder or preview for the video before it begins playing.
Note:
Most browsers allow the video to be automatically played only if the Mute option is enabled.
Image Overlay
- Image Overlay: Decide whether to display or hide the image overlay.
- Choose Image: Select or upload the image to be used as the overlay.
- Image Resolution: Customize the size of the image. Choose from options like thumbnail, full size, or specify a custom size.
- Play Icon: Toggle to YES to display a play icon. You can use the default play button icon, upload an SVG, or select an icon from the available library.
- Lightbox: Toggle ON to play the video in a Lightbox.
Style tab
Video
Aspect Ratio: Modify the shape of the video using options like square (1:1), classic (4:3), widescreen (16:9), and others.
CSS Filters: Personalize the video's appearance with effects such as blur, brightness, and color adjustments.
Image Overlay
Play Icon:
- Color: Choose the color of the play icon.
- Size: Adjust the size of the play icon.
- Shadow: Apply a shadow effect to the play icon for enhanced visibility or aesthetic appeal.
Advanced tab
You can customize the widget further using the settings available in the Advanced tab. These options provide additional styling and functionality adjustments, allowing you to tailor the widget to better fit your design needs.
