10Web AI can create websites, online stores, and web apps using text prompts, uploaded files, existing websites, social media profiles, and other online sources. You can use these inputs individually or combine them to give AI more context about your business, design preferences, and the functionality you need.
This guide explains which inputs 10Web AI supports, how to add them, their format and size limits, and how to get better results from different sources.
For the complete website generation process, including the AI Planner and approving your Website Plan, see How to Generate a Website With 10Web's Agentic Website Builder.
Where to start
You can provide inputs when creating a new project from either of these locations:
- From 10web.io: Enter your request in the prompt field. Use Add files or Add links to provide additional content.
- From your 10Web dashboard: If you already have an account, open the Websites page and click the + (Add) button next to the prompt field. Choose Add your files, Code snippet, or Socials & links.
The same input options are available whether you want to generate a website, an online store, or a web app.
Note:
You can also use supported files, links, text, and other inputs in the 10Web AI Editor after your project has been generated. This allows you to provide additional references and content when requesting changes to already generated website, store, or app.
Describe your project with a text prompt
The simplest way to start is to describe what you want 10Web AI to create.
- Open 10web.io or your 10Web dashboard.
- Click the prompt field.
- Describe your website, online store, or app.
- Include relevant details such as your business name, purpose, target audience, pages, design preferences, and required functionality.
- Submit your prompt to start the generation process.
You can write your prompt in any language. There are no language restrictions for text prompts.
Example: Generate a business website
Create a modern website for Bella Italia, an Italian restaurant in Chicago. Use a warm, elegant design with large food photography. Include a homepage, About Us page, food and drinks menu, opening hours, contact information, and online table reservations.
Example: Generate an online store
Create a professional online store for UrbanNest, a home decor brand selling furniture, lighting, and lifestyle accessories. Include product categories, product pages, a shopping cart, checkout, and customer accounts. Use a modern minimalist design with neutral colors and large product images.
Example: Generate a web app
Create a project management app for a small marketing agency. Include user accounts, project dashboards, task assignments, deadlines, status tracking, and team member permissions. Use a clean interface with a sidebar for navigation.
Text prompt length and limits
You can submit both short descriptions and detailed project requirements.
- Up to 2,000 characters: Your description is submitted directly as a text prompt.
- More than 2,000 characters: The text is automatically attached as a TXT file.
- TXT file length: There is currently no character limit for the text contained in a TXT file.
This is especially useful for detailed requirements, such as app specifications, business descriptions, or extensive website content.
Tip:
For complex projects, describe your main goal in the prompt and provide detailed requirements in a TXT file. Organizing the file into sections such as Pages, Features, Design, and Content can help AI understand your project.
Use voice instead of typing
You can also describe your project using voice input.
- Click the microphone icon next to the prompt field.
- Describe the website, online store, or app you want to create.
- Review the transcribed text in the prompt field.
- Edit the description if needed, then submit it.
Upload files and images
If you already have a logo, product catalog, brand guidelines, images, or business documentation, you can upload them instead of describing everything manually.
10Web AI uses the uploaded material as additional context when generating your project.
How to attach files
- Open the prompt field.
- On 10web.io, click Add files. In your 10Web dashboard, click + (Add) and select Add your files.
- If you are starting from 10web.io, choose the relevant category:
- Logo & brand: For logos, brand books, and other brand-related assets.
- Business content: For images, product catalogs, price lists, menus, and other business materials.
- Select the files from your device.
- Wait until the files are attached to your prompt.
- Add any additional instructions explaining how AI should use them.
In the 10Web dashboard, Add your files opens your device's file picker directly without requiring you to select a category first.
Supported file formats
10Web AI currently supports the following file formats:
- CSV (.csv): Structured information such as product lists, pricing, and business data.
- HTML (.html): Existing web page content and markup.
- Markdown (.md): Formatted text, content outlines, and documentation.
- SVG (.svg): Vector graphics, logos, and illustrations.
- TXT (.txt): Plain-text content, instructions, and project requirements.
- JPG (.jpg, .jpeg): Product photography, brand images, and design references.
- PNG (.png): Images, screenshots, logos, and other visual assets.
File formats coming soon
Support for the following formats is not generally available yet:
- PDF (.pdf)
- Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx)
- Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx)
- Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (.ppt, .pptx)
- Apple Keynote files
- Apple Pages documents
- Apple Numbers spreadsheets
- MP4 videos (.mp4)
- WebM videos (.webm)
- MOV videos (.mov)
- M3U8 video playlists (.m3u8)
Note:
If you need to attach file types that are listed as coming soon now, consider converting them to an already supported format, such as TXT, CSV, JPG, or PNG, where appropriate.
File upload limits
When attaching assets to a prompt, the following limits apply:
- Images: Maximum 10 images.
- Total assets: Maximum 20 attached assets.
- Individual file size: Maximum 20 MB per file.
These limits apply to uploaded assets, regardless of whether you are creating a website, store, or app.
Important:
Each uploaded file must be no larger than 20 MB. You can attach up to 20 assets in total, including a maximum of 10 images. If you have more material, select the most relevant assets or combine related text into fewer files.
Examples of using uploaded files
Generate a store from a product list
Upload a CSV file containing product names, prices, categories, and descriptions, then enter:
Create an online store for my home decor business using the attached product catalog. Organize products into the categories provided in the file, use the included descriptions and prices, and create a modern, elegant storefront.
Generate a website using brand assets
Upload your logo and brand images, then enter:
Create a professional website for my consulting agency using the attached logo and brand assets. Match the website's colors and visual style to the provided materials, and include Home, Services, About Us, and Contact pages.
Generate an app using requirements
Upload a TXT or Markdown file describing the functionality you need, then enter:
Create a customer management app based on the attached requirements. Follow the described user roles, data fields, and workflows, and use a clean dashboard interface.
Tip:
When attaching several files, explain what each file contains and how it should be used. For example, identify which file contains your product catalog, which contains brand guidelines, and which describes the functionality you need.
Create a project from an existing website or link

Use an existing website as a reference
If you already have a website or have found one you like, you can provide its URL and choose how 10Web AI should use it.
- Open Socials & links or Add links.
- Select Existing website URL.
- Enter the website address in the URL field.
- Under How to use this website, choose one of the available options:
- Redesign: Use the existing website as the starting point for creating a redesigned version.
- Use as inspiration: Use the website as a reference for design, structure, or content ideas.
- Match its brand: Use the website as a reference for branding, including its visual identity.
- Click Add website.
- Include any additional instructions in your text prompt.
Example AI prompt:
Redesign my existing business website using the attached URL. Keep the core business information and services, but create a more modern layout, improve the mobile experience, and make the contact form more prominent.
Generate a website from a social media profile
Social media profiles can be especially useful when your business already has photos, descriptions, products, or other content published online but does not yet have a dedicated website.
- Open Socials & links or Add links.
- Select a supported platform, such as Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
- Enter the public profile URL or account handle in the requested field.
- Click Add.
- Describe the type of website or store you want to generate and how the profile should be used.
Example: Create a website from Instagram
Create a modern website for my photography business using the attached Instagram profile. Use my published photos as visual references, create a portfolio, organize the work into categories, and include an About page and a contact form for bookings.
Example: Create an online store from a social profile
Create an online store for my handmade jewelry brand using the attached Instagram profile. Use the profile to understand my brand style and products. Include product categories, product pages, a shopping cart, and checkout.
Best practices for using social media profiles
Social profiles are particularly helpful for businesses and creators who already have an established online presence but want a more complete website or online store.
Common use cases include:
- Restaurants and cafes: Use published food photos, business descriptions, and branding to create a restaurant website.
- Retail businesses: Turn existing product-focused content into a structured online store.
- Photographers and designers: Use portfolio content to create a professional website showcasing their work.
- Beauty salons and service providers: Use social media content to present services, prices, and booking options.
- Content creators and personal brands: Create a central website for a portfolio, biography, content, and contact information.
- Small businesses: Build a first website using information already available on public business profiles.
For better results:
- Use a public profile with relevant and up-to-date content.
- Explain whether AI should use the profile for content, design inspiration, branding, or product information.
- Include additional details in your prompt if the profile does not contain everything needed.
- Attach supporting files, such as your logo or product list, when they provide information missing from the profile.
- Review the generated content before publishing to ensure that information and images are accurate.
Tip:
Social media profiles work especially well for visually focused businesses, such as restaurants, retail stores, photographers, designers, and personal brands. If the profile contains limited information about your services or products, provide those details in the prompt or an attached file.
Generate from marketplaces, directories, and other sources
You can also use supported marketplace listings, business directories, reviews, and app store pages as references.
For example:
- Etsy or Amazon: Provide product listing information when generating an online store.
- Google Maps or Tripadvisor: Provide information about a local business, its location, and available public details.
- Airbnb or Booking.com: Provide a property listing as a reference for a hospitality website.
- App Store or Google Play: Provide an existing app listing as a reference when describing a new web app.
- Google Docs or Google Drive: Provide publicly accessible documents containing business content or project requirements.
Example AI prompt:
Create a professional vacation rental website based on the attached Airbnb listing. Include a property overview, photo gallery, amenities, location information, booking inquiry form, and contact details. Use a clean, welcoming design.
Link availability and content restrictions
Links must be publicly accessible so 10Web AI can retrieve and use their content.
- Use public website pages, listings, and social media profiles.
- For Google Docs or Drive links, ensure the shared material can be accessed without signing in.
- Avoid private accounts, password-protected documents, and pages that require authentication.
- Make sure the link points to the specific page, listing, or profile that you want AI to use.
Important:
10Web AI cannot use content from links that are inaccessible to its processing system, including private or login-protected sources. Some publicly visible pages may also restrict automated access. If a link cannot be processed, provide the relevant information directly through a supported file or text prompt.
Content safety restrictions
10Web AI checks reference content before using it for generation. Sources containing unsupported unsafe content may cause the generation process to stop.
Restricted categories include:
- Adult or sexually explicit content
- Gambling and betting services
- Graphic violence
- Sexual content involving minors
- Other harmful content, including hate, terrorism, promotion of self-harm, and illegal drug or weapon sales
The check considers the context of the reference, rather than individual words alone. For example, a news website discussing violence is different from a reference promoting graphic violence.
Important:
If a reference is classified as containing restricted unsafe content, the generation process stops. Review the reference and use appropriate, publicly accessible content that complies with the platform's content requirements.
Add a code snippet or plain text
You can paste a code snippet or block of plain text directly into the generation request without uploading it as a separate file.
This is useful for existing page copy, structured instructions, reusable HTML content, or technical references.
- Open the prompt field in your 10Web dashboard.
- Click + (Add).
- Select Code snippet.
- Paste your code or text into the Code or text field.
- Click Add.
- Include a prompt describing how you want AI to use the attached content.
Example AI prompt:
Create a landing page using the attached HTML content as a reference. Preserve the main information but improve the layout, typography, responsiveness, and visual design.
Note:
The Add button becomes available after you enter content in the Code or text field.
Combine prompts, files, and links
You are not limited to one type of input. 10Web AI supports combining multiple links, uploaded assets, code snippets, and text prompts in a single request.
For example, you can provide:
- A logo to establish your brand identity.
- An Instagram profile to provide examples of your visual style.
- A CSV product catalog containing names, descriptions, and prices.
- An existing website URL for design inspiration.
- A text prompt explaining the pages and functionality you need.
Each attached input appears next to the prompt field, where you can review it or remove it before submitting your request.
Example: Combine multiple inputs to create an online store.
Attach your brand logo, Instagram account, and product list, then enter:
Create a modern online store for my handmade accessories brand. Use the attached logo for branding, the Instagram profile for visual inspiration, and the CSV file for product names, descriptions, categories, and prices. Include a homepage, product listings, product detail pages, shopping cart, checkout, and customer accounts.
Tip:
For better results, combine inputs that are logically connected. If you attach references from different businesses or styles, explain what each reference should be used for. This helps AI understand which content, branding, and design direction to follow.
Use the same inputs in the AI Editor
Supported inputs are available not only during initial generation but also when editing a website, online store, or web app.
You can use the AI Editor to provide new content, attach reference files, add links, and request changes to your existing project.
- Open your website, store, or app in the 10Web AI Editor.
- Open the AI chat.
- Enter a text prompt describing the changes you want to make.
- Use the available attachment options to add relevant files, links, or other supported references.
- Submit your request.
- Review the generated changes.
Example: Update a website using a file
Update my Services page using the attached TXT file. Replace the existing descriptions with the new content, but keep the current design and layout.
Example: Update an online store using an image
Use the attached product image to update the featured product section on my homepage. Keep the existing colors and typography.
Example: Use a website as design inspiration
Redesign the hero section of my homepage using the attached website as inspiration. Keep my own branding and content while adopting a similar layout style.
Note:
Reference files and links provide context for AI-generated changes. Always review the results to make sure the correct content and design elements were used.
What happens after you submit your inputs?
Once you submit your request, 10Web AI reviews the provided information to understand the project you want to create.
Depending on the project, the AI Planner may ask additional questions to clarify important details, such as your business location, requirements, or desired functionality.
It then prepares a Website Plan describing the proposed project. You can review the plan and request changes before approving generation.
After you approve the plan, 10Web AI starts building your website, online store, or web app.
