Gallery creation and gallery deletion - what files?
I am new to the 10web Gallery (10wg) platform (paid version), and started experimenting with it this weekend. Now that I (almost) finalised my gallery, I see quite a few versions of the same file on my web server (limited space), and here are my notes about this situation.
The image files imported from Wordpress (WP) by 10wg are located in the WP "uploads" folder under a folder created by 10wg titled "imported_from_media_libray". In this folder there are 3 versions (in my case) for the same imported file: medium sized files right in this folder, original copies in the ".originals", and thumbs in the "thumb" subfolder, all having the same filename (e.g. "thumbs/filename.jpg", ".originals/filename.jpg", and "imported_from_media_library/filename.jpg").
As I was creating various test galleries with the plugin with nearly the same set of images, 10wg each time pulled the same original image file from WP uploads folder and created the same 3 versions with the same filenames in the 3 directories, always adding a differentiating character series, which is "_(1)".
This means, if you created 4 galleries (like me while testing) with the same or partially same subset of images, then you will have images that are copied by 10wg in all the 4 instances or less, meaning you may have 4 times the original, the medium and the thumb images on your server's 10wg images folders, differentiated by the "_(1)" string. It goes like this:
1st gallery: filename.jpg
2nd gallery: filename_(1).jpg
3rd gallery: filename_(1)_(1).jpg
4th gallery: filename_(1)_(1)_(1).jpg
When I was deleting the unnecessary galleries, the thumb and medium image files did not get deleted with the galleries. I think the files in the .originals folder did get deleted, because I mostly have only three (!) copies of the same images for the single gallery I have for them (http://scherterjudit.eu/paintings).
Now, this causes unnecessary clutter and server space usage. Also, such filenames don't look neat, especially in links. (look at the attachments).

It may be written somewhere in the manual - though I have not found it - that deleting the gallery does not delete the generated files, and deleting images in galleries does not delete the generated (thumb and medium) files.
Do you have a plan to clean up this?
It will be tiresome to remove all the unnecessary files without deleting the necessary ones...
