Form Maker - Create new Field Help Button to display popup help screen on click or hover over

It would be nice to have a new Help button that can be placed next to form input fields that, if we click on it and/or hover over it, it will display a small popup help screen. Currently I use 'HTML' to link to a new help screen (doesn't look good and is slow and awkward to use for a couple of sentences' help, and since 90% of people completing the form, won't need this additional help, it clutters the form/screen to always have long enough descriptions to eliminate the use of extra help). Apparently the Button which is available, and which we can add, can 'take' some Javascript that, if we knew Javascript, we could possibly have used to do something like this (not sure, I'm not that technical), and if it was possible it would have been nice to get at least a simple example of the Javascript code we can 'plug' into the Button to achieve that. Hope it makes sense?
