Default Settings for Gallery Auto Generated Short Codes

Greetings,

notice that you cannot choose a default layout for auto generated gallary shortcodes.  In my case, I am adding galleries directly to the menu of my client's blog.  This generates a short code.  It would be nice to be able to either choose the layout when creating the menu, or have a default layout when these short codes are generated

  Dear Rick,

  The gallery view can be changed from the shortcode.
  Choose the desired view and generate a shortcode for that gallery,
