.pdf creation without clearing form fields

Hi.
Imagine a Curriculum Vitae / 'Resume' form for a subscriber. The user might need a .pdf of the data to date, but may also need to update the form fields a year later. The "Save" function is perfect, but the Submit function (which triggers the .pdf send) clears all the fields which is NOT wanted in this instance.

So:

1) Is there a switch to enable all fields not to be cleared on Submit on a settings page?
2) Is it possible to trigger the creation and sending of a .pdf in code?

(I'm currently 'working round' the issue by placing the Submit button on a hidden page.)

  1. It is not possible to develop this functionality. 

  2. We'll be happy to develop this feature once it'll get more upvotes.
