Time Field - Validate as time of day

Please add an option to Validate Time field entries as being valid Time of Day. The current field doesn't have any validation, so will, for example, accept "88:88:88 AM" as a valid time. Support's suggestion was to use Select fields for now, but thats a pain.

  Has anyone had a chance to look at this?? I was hoping there'd be a bit of feedback by now.
