The Features tab in the Elementor settings allows you to control various experiments and features to enhance performance, improve design flexibility, and test new tools. You can activate, deactivate, or reset features to default at any time. This guide explains the different types of features available and how to manage them.
Manage features in the Features tab
- Go to WordPress Dashboard > Elementor > Settings > Features.
- Find the experiment or feature you want to modify.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to it and choose one of the options:
- Active: Enables the feature.
- Inactive: Disables the feature.
- Default: Keeps the feature in its recommended state, which may vary depending on its development status.
- Alternatively, use the Activate All or Deactivate All buttons for bulk changes.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to apply your settings.
Important:
Some experiments may impact site performance or compatibility with third-party plugins. Test changes before applying them to a live site.
Types of features
Ongoing experiments
These features are still under development and may change before their final release. They are categorized based on their development stage:
- Alpha: Early-stage feature, likely to change and evolve.
- Beta: Fairly stable but still requires testing. It is often enabled by default on new sites.

Optimized Markup (Performance) – Alpha
Reduces DOM size by removing unnecessary HTML tags, improving page speed.
Note:
May require updates to custom CSS/JS and could cause compatibility issues with third-party plugins.

Load Google Fonts Locally (Performance) – Beta
Hosts Google Fonts on your server instead of fetching them from external sources, improving privacy and performance. -
Landing Pages (Deprecated) – Beta
Previously allowed users to create landing pages within 10Web Builder. -
Element Caching (Performance) – Beta
Caches elements for faster page loading instead of rendering them fresh each time. -
Fast Editing Tools – Beta
Enhances the editing experience in the Editor Preview. -
Sections Generation – Beta
Experimental feature under Beta status. -
10Web AI Co-Pilot – Alpha
AI-powered assistant to improve site-building efficiency. -
Smart Scale – Beta
Automatically adjusts website size proportionally to fit within the editor's available space.
Stable features
These features have been tested and are considered stable, but you can activate or deactivate them as needed.
- Inline Font Icons (Performance): Uses inline SVG icons instead of loading external icon libraries like Font Awesome, improving performance.
- Additional Custom Breakpoints: Adds up to six new breakpoints for greater responsive design control.
- Container: Enables Flexbox and Grid-based layout structures for advanced responsive design.
- Nested Elements: Allows widgets to be placed within other widgets for improved content layering. Requires Container to be enabled.
- Editor Top Bar: Introduces an updated top bar design in the 10Web Editor.
- Form Submissions: Stores form submissions in an internal database to prevent data loss.
Reset feature settings
If you want to revert all changes, click Back to Default to restore the original settings.
Note:
Enabling or disabling features may require clearing the cache or updating custom CSS/JS to ensure compatibility.
