If you're attempting to add an additional record with an existing hostname to your DNS settings in your 10Web dashboard, you might encounter a Record already exists error message.

If you need to add a second record for the same hostname, you should update the existing record by inserting the new value on the next line under the same entry. Detailed instructions are provided below to guide you through the process.
Important:
Adding multiple CNAME or PTR records with the same hostname is not permitted.
Solving the "Record Already Exists" error for A, AAAA, MX and SRV records
- Find the record that has the Same Hostname.
- Click the pencil icon next to it to open the edit dialog.
- Scroll to see the empty fields and input the new details into them. If there are no empty fields, click the + icon to add another empty field for the new record.
- Click Save after making the necessary changes or additions.
Solving the "Record Already Exists" error for TXT record
- Find the TXT record that has the Same Hostname.
- Click the pencil icon next to it to open the edit dialog.
- Enter the new value from a new line in the provided TXT content box.
- Click Save once you have made the necessary updates.
Note:
It can take up to 24 hours for the newly added records to be resolved and changes to take effect.
