10Web Builder makes it easy to create, edit, import, and apply custom headers and footers in WordPress, giving you great flexibility.
The header appears at the top of your site and stays the same across all pages. The footer, found at the bottom, is also consistent throughout your website.
Creating your website's header/footer with 10Web Builder
To easily create your header and footer, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > 10Web Templates.
- Select Add New Template and choose either Header or Footer.
- Name your template and click Create Template.
- Create your template from scratch.
- After editing your header or footer, click Save & Publish and choose whether it should be used across your entire site or just on specific pages by setting a condition.
Editing Header/Footer templates
Method 1: From WordPress Dashboard
- Log into your WordPress Dashboard > Templates > 10Web Templates
- Select Header or Footer
- Hover on the template and click Edit with Elementor
- Make the necessary edits and click Save & Publish on the top right corner of the page.
Note:
You can edit the Header / Footer from 10Web Dashboard AI Builder section. Select either the Header or Footer tab and click the pencil icon next to your current header or footer template. This action will take you directly to 10Web Builder editor for the selected template.
Method 2: While editing a Page
- Open the page you are working on in 10Web Builder editor.
- Hover over the header or footer section of the page: an Edit Header or Edit Footer option will appear.
- Click on the Edit Header or Edit Footer option. You will be redirected to the editor for the header or footer currently applied to your website.
Applying the Header/Footer to your website
With Conditions, you can accurately control where each template appears, whether on a single page or throughout your entire site. These settings enable you to specify whether to Include or Exclude particular conditions.
Here's how to set it up:
- You can access the conditions either directly from the editor by opening the drop-down right next to the Save & Publish button and choosing the Display Condition or by Navigating to the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > 10Web Templates > Header/Footer and clicking the Condition/Add condition in front of your template.
- Once the Display condition pops up, click Add Condition to choose whether to include or exclude it.
- Follow these steps to configure your conditions:
- Decide between Including or Excluding.
- Choose if the condition applies to the Entire Site, Singular pages/posts, or Archives.
- Specify if it applies to All Pages or a Specific Page.
- If choosing a Specific Page, you can enter the URL or URLs.
- After setting your conditions, click the Publish button to apply your changes.
Importing Header/Footer
You can upload templates that you've previously exported.
- Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > 10Web Templates > Import Templates.
- Choose a 10Web Builder template JSON file or a .zip archive of 10Web Builder templates and hit the Import Now button.
- The template you imported will then appear in your list of Templates.
As your Header / Footer templates are now ready, you can go ahead and build your page with 10Web Builder.
