With 10Web AI, you can create a restaurant website that displays your menu, showcases your locations, and lets customers reserve tables online.
You can build your website by describing your restaurant in a prompt and then customize its design, content, menus, opening hours, and other settings using AI or the restaurant management panel.
This guide explains how to create your restaurant website and manage its information, locations, and menus.
Note:
Table reservations, tables and the waitlist are covered in "How to Set Up and Manage Table Reservations on Your Restaurant Website." Clients, gift cards, staff roles and reports are covered in "How to Manage Restaurant Customers, Gift Cards, Staff, and Reports." This guide does not repeat those steps.
Step 1: Create your restaurant website with AI
To get started:
- Visit 10web.io or my.10web.io if you already have an account.
- Describe the restaurant website you want to create in the AI prompt field.
- Include details such as your restaurant's name, cuisine, location, menu, and preferred design.
- Attach any files you have, such as your restaurant's logo, brand book, menu, images, or other relevant materials.
- Add a link to your existing website, a website you want to use for inspiration, or your restaurant's social media profile. Tell AI what information, content, or design elements you want it to use from the provided link.
Example prompt:
Create a modern website for Bella Italia, an Italian restaurant in Chicago. Use a warm, elegant design with large food photography and a welcoming atmosphere. Include a homepage, an About Us section, a food and drinks menu, opening hours, contact information, a location map, and online table reservations. Our menu should include starters, pasta, pizza, desserts, and drinks. Make the website mobile-friendly.
AI Planner
After submitting your prompt, the AI Planner may ask additional questions based on the information you've provided to configure your restaurant website's initial settings. These questions may cover opening hours, dining room setup, restaurant menu, menu pricing, and more.
You can provide detailed answers or let AI decide for you. All these settings can be changed later.
Next, AI will prepare a Website Plan outlining your website's pages, restaurant configuration, and initial menu. Review the plan and make changes directly or ask AI to modify it using natural language.
Once you're satisfied with the plan, click Approve & Start Generation to begin building your restaurant website.
Note:
Generation usually takes a few minutes, though it can take longer for a larger site. The pages, menu items, and locations the AI creates can vary depending on the detail in your prompt.
Once generation finishes, the website opens in 10Web AI Editor.
Step 2: Customize the website with AI
After generating your website, use the AI chat to request changes to its appearance, layout, content, or restaurant settings.
For example:
Change the website design to a minimalist style with a cream background, dark green headings, and large food images.
Add a section to the homepage featuring our chef's recommendations and a button linking to the full menu.
Add a brunch menu with pancakes, avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and fresh juices.
Change our Friday and Saturday opening hours to 11 AM–11 PM.
AI can update supported restaurant settings, including menus, pricing, locations, opening hours, and other restaurant features.
Review the result in the editor, and in Preview, before publishing.
You can also use the visual or code editor to adjust the appearance of your website.
Note:
The visual appearance of the booking experience can be customized, but the underlying reservation process is managed by the restaurant booking engine. You cannot change its functional rules by editing a form.
Step 3: Access the restaurant management panel
Your restaurant website includes a management panel for handling restaurant operations. It is separate from the guest-facing website and is designed for managing restaurant information, menus, locations, bookings, and other operational features.
The available screens depend on your role and the features enabled for your restaurant.
To access the panel, click the W icon on your website thumbnail in the 10Web dashboard or the W icon next to the Publish/Save button in the 10Web Editor.
The generated site adds a Restaurant menu to your WordPress admin, where you manage the menu, locations, and other restaurant settings.
This article covers the essential settings for setting up your restaurant website. For more advanced features, including reservations, customer and table management, staff, gift cards, and reports, refer to our dedicated guides:

Step 4: Set up restaurant information, locations and operating hours
Set up the restaurant information
The Restaurant tab under Settings lets you manage your restaurant's basic information and booking page configuration.
Restaurant name: Enter your restaurant's name. If left empty, the website's title will be used.
Logo: Click Choose Logo to upload or select your restaurant's logo.
Currency: Select the currency used for menu prices, deposits, and gift cards.
Booking page for guest links: Specifies the page where guests can view their reservation using a unique booking link. This is set by the website builder.
After updating your information, click Save Changes to apply the settings.
Set up Locations
The Locations section under Restaurant → Locations lets you manage multiple restaurant locations from a single website.
You can view all existing locations in a table showing their names, addresses, phone numbers, time zones, and number of tables. Click a location's name to edit its details or Add New Location to create another.
How to Add a New Location
Go to Restaurant → Locations in your WordPress dashboard.
Click Add New Location.
Fill in the location details:
Name: Enter the restaurant location's name.
Address / Address line 2: Add the street address and any additional address details.
City, Region, Postcode: Specify the location's city, state or region, and postal code.
Country code: Enter a two-letter country code, such as
USorGB. This is used to interpret phone numbers entered without a country code.Phone: Enter a contact number displayed to guests who need to call the restaurant, including for large-party bookings or cancellations.
Email: Add the location's contact email address.
Map pin latitude / longitude: Enter the geographic coordinates to identify the location on a map.
Time zone: Select the location's local time zone to ensure booking times are handled correctly.
Click Add Location to save.
Once added, the location will appear in your locations list, where you can access and manage its details.
Note:
Extra locations are an optional part of the plugin, turned on from Settings > Switches. With a single location, the Locations screen manages that one location's details and hours; with more than one, each location gets its own hours and settings.
You can also use AI.
Example prompt:
Add a second Bella Italia location at 500 Main Street, Chicago. Set its opening hours to 12 PM–10 PM Monday through Thursday and 12 PM–11 PM Friday through Sunday.
When your restaurant has multiple locations, guests can choose their preferred location before viewing location-specific menu information or making a reservation.
If you have only one location, visitors do not need to select it.
Configure opening hours and special closures
Opening Hours
The Opening Hours tab lets you set the regular operating hours for each restaurant location, including separate opening periods for lunch and dinner.
To configure opening hours:
Go to Restaurant → Locations and select your restaurant location.
Open the Opening Hours tab.
For each opening period, select:
Day: The day of the week.
Opens: The time the restaurant opens.
Closes: The time the restaurant closes.
Click + Add Opening Period to add more time slots. You can add multiple periods for the same day, such as 11:30–14:30 for lunch and 17:00–22:00 for dinner.
Click Remove to delete an opening period.
Days without any opening periods are considered closed.
Closures
The Closures tab lets you manage temporary closures or changes to regular opening hours for holidays, private events, renovations, or other special occasions.
To add a closure:
Go to Restaurant → Locations, select your location, and open the Closures tab.
Under Add New Closure, configure:
From / Until: Select the start and end dates.
What: Choose Closed all day for a full closure or Different hours to set special operating hours.
Reason: Enter a description, such as a holiday, private event, or renovation.
Click Add Closure to save.
Existing closures appear in the table above, showing their dates, type, affected location, and reason.
You can also configure temporary closures for holidays, renovations, or private events with AI prompt.
Example prompt:
Close our downtown location on December 25 and 26 for the holidays. Keep all other locations open according to their regular schedules.
Step 5: Create and manage your restaurant menu
10Web AI generates an initial restaurant menu based on your description. You can update your menu using AI prompts or manage individual items, categories, prices, serving schedules, and dietary information manually.
To manage your menu manually, open your website's WordPress Admin Dashboard → Restaurant → Menu.
The Menu section contains four tabs: Items, Sections, Menus, and Labels.
Manage menu items
The Items tab displays all dishes and drinks added to your restaurant menu, including their sections, prices, allergens, dietary labels, assigned menus, and visibility status.
From this tab, you can search or filter items, perform bulk actions, and use the Visible switch to show or hide individual items on your website.
To add a new item, click Add New Item. To edit an existing item, click its name.
You can configure the following settings:
- Item: Enter the item's name and description, select its section, and upload a photo.
- Price: Set a fixed price or click + Add Price Line to display multiple options, such as sizes or extras, with separate prices and allergens. If you use price lines instead of a fixed price, the menu displays the lowest price as "From."
- Allergens and labels: Select the allergens the item contains and any applicable dietary labels.
- Per location: Choose which restaurant locations offer the item and optionally set different prices for each location. Leaving a location-specific price empty uses the shared price.
- Menus: Select which menus the item belongs to, such as Lunch or Dinner.
- Publish: Enable or disable Visible to guests to control whether the item appears on your website.
Click Save Item to save your changes.
You can also manage items using AI.
Example prompt:
Add Margherita Pizza to the Pizza section for $14. Include the description "Classic Italian pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil." Mark it as vegetarian and indicate that it contains gluten and milk.
Note:
Price options are for display only. Customers cannot select them to order food online.
Manage menu sections
The Sections tab lets you organize your dishes and drinks into categories, such as Starters, Pasta, Pizza, Desserts, and Beverages.
You can view existing sections, their item counts, and visibility status.
To create a section:
- Open the Sections tab.
- Under Add New Section, enter the section's name and an optional description.
- Select Visible to guests if you want it displayed on the website.
- Click Add Section.
To manage existing sections, click Edit to update their details. You can also change their display order using the Position fields and clicking Save Order.
You can also create and organize menu sections using AI prompts, without manually adding each section.
Example prompt:
Create five sections for my restaurant menu: Starters, Main Courses, Pizza, Desserts, and Drinks. Add a short description for each section and organize them in this order. Make all sections visible to customers on my website.
Create and manage menus
The Menus tab lets you create different menus, such as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Drinks, and specify when each is served.
To create a menu:
- Open the Menus tab.
- Under Add New Menu, enter the menu name.
- Enable Visible to guests if you want it displayed on the website.
- Select the days on which the menu is available.

- Click + Add Served Time if you need additional serving schedules.
- Click Add Menu.
You can also edit or delete existing menus from this tab. Assign dishes to a menu through each item's settings.
Alternatively, use AI to configure your menu.
Example prompt:
Create a weekend brunch menu available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM. Include sections for Breakfast Classics, Pancakes, Healthy Options, and Drinks.
Guests can see the menus and their serving hours, with the currently served menu displayed first.
Manage allergens and dietary labels
The Labels tab lets you review supported allergens and manage the dietary labels used across your menu.
- Allergens: The system includes 14 predefined allergens, such as gluten-containing cereals, milk, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts. This list cannot be changed. You can select applicable allergens when editing each menu item.
- Dietary labels: The default labels include Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Halal, and Spicy. You can remove existing labels or create custom ones by entering a name in the New label field and clicking Add Label.
After creating a label, you can assign it to individual menu items under Allergens and labels.
Alternatively, use AI to configure lebels.
Example prompt:
Mark all vegetarian dishes with the Vegetarian label, add a Dairy-Free dietary label, and apply it to dishes that do not contain dairy.
On your published website, guests can use dietary labels to filter dishes and exclude items containing selected allergens.
Step 6. Set up restaurant language
The Languages tab under Restaurant → Settings lets you configure the languages available for your restaurant menu.
Main language: Set the primary language of your menu using a language code, such as
enfor English, esfor Spanish, orfrfor French.Extra languages: Add additional languages to offer your menu in multiple languages. To enable this option, first go to Restaurant → Settings → Switches and turn on Extra languages. Then return to the Languages tab and enter the additional language codes, separated by commas (e.g.,

Click Save Changes to apply your settings.
You can also request changes through AI.
