How Cloudflare Enterprise works
Cloudflare Enterprise provides a market leading CDN network for websites connected to the 10Web dashboard and hosted anywhere. When you enable the Cloudflare CDN, we provide you with DNS records which you add to where your DNS management is. Once the records have been resolved, your website will automatically start taking advantage of Cloudflare’s world class features.
Features
Enterprise CDN
A Content Delivery Network is a network of servers linked to one another and working together to deliver content over the internet in the fastest and most secure manner. These edge servers are geographically distributed around the world in order to provide the shortest possible distance. Simply put, a CDN network caches your website content at numerous strategic and specific points in its network. How does this affect your website? The redundancy of the network provides secure delivery of content in cases of emergency. The closer the edge network is to your client, the faster your website loads. Because of the latter, you use less bandwidth, thus saving resources.
Full page cache
This feature will store the entire content of a static page in a proxy server at the network edge. The network edge is the CDN server closest to the client making the request. By providing full page cache, delivery time of pages is greatly improved.
Free Cloudflare SSL
The Secure Socket Layer is a security protocol that uses encryption to secure the data traveling between the browser and the server. Cloudflare’s SSL improves page load time while protecting data from being intercepted.
DDoS & bot protection
Distributed Denial of Service attacks are an attempt to breach the regular traffic of a server or of anything that is connected to the internet, such as gadgets and household appliances. DDoS attacks are difficult to detect because they take on the characteristics of normal surges of traffic. However, the systems in place can detect the presence of compromised servers and malicious bots. Once detected, malicious bot traffic is dropped at the network edge, IPs are blocked, and the rest of the load is disbursed to relieve the servers and assure that all requests reach the server and are returned.
Mobile optimization with Mirage
This feature automatically detects the client’s device and connection quality and adjusts and optimizes images accordingly so that clients are able to quickly open and view images.
Web application firewall (WAF)
This feature places a firewall between the application and the server. It audits the HTTP traffic for breaches and secures your websites from critical threats and vulnerabilities.
