Your website is assigned a 10Web subdomain when first created. For example, the website’s address may end with .10web.site or .10web.cloud. However, you can point your own domain name from another registrar or you can get a custom domain name directly from 10Web.
Once you point your domain and set it as the primary, the 10Web subdomain is automatically replaced. If you still encounter the 10Web subdomain in any areas of your live website, please follow the below instructions.
Primary domain redirecting to 10Web subdomain
If you have already pointed your domain to 10Web and made it the primary one, but it still redirects to a .10web subdomain, try the following steps:
Step 1: Make domain primary again
- From your 10Web Dashboard, click Manage on the website experiencing issues.
- Go to the Domains section.
- Click Make Primary next to the 10Web subdomain to make it primary again.
- Click Confirm.
- Click Make Primary next to your domain name again to make it the primary domain.
- Click Confirm.
Step 2: Clear website cache
- Click Manage on the website experiencing issues
- Locate Hosting Services > Tools section.
- Click Clear Cache.
Note:
If you are using Cloudflare Enterprise CDN provided by 10Web, clear its cache from the Website Booster > Cloudflare CDN section as well.
Step 2: Change the URL directly from database
If the issue persists after completing the above steps, please proceed with changes directly from the database.
- Connect to your website database from the Hosting Services → Credentials section of your 10Web Dashboard. Here is how.
- In the database manager, find and select the live_database associated with your site.
- In phpMyAdmin, double-click the wp-options table to open it.
- Find the siteurl and home entries within the wp-options table, and click Edit next to each one.
Note:
Your website link should follow this format: https://yourdomain.com.
- Enter the correct WordPress site URL in the option_value field for both entries.
- Click Go to save your changes.
- Clear your website cache again as described in Step 2.
- Reload your website to make sure it's functioning as expected.

Conclusion
While pointing a custom domain to your 10Web website typically replaces the default 10Web subdomain, you may encounter scenarios where the subdomain still appears. By thoroughly following these procedures, you can ensure that your custom domain is properly reflected across your site, eliminating any remaining references to the 10Web subdomain.
