If you need to move a website from one 10Web account to another—whether for client handoff, team collaboration, or project organization—there are two reliable methods. This article covers both options so you can choose the one that works best for your case.
Method 1: Request a transfer through 10Web support
- Contact 10Web Support from both the source and destination accounts to confirm the transfer.
- Either submit a ticket from both dashboards
or
- Write to support@10web.io using the email addresses of both accounts and request the transfer.
- Either submit a ticket from both dashboards
- Once confirmation is received from both parties, 10Web will handle the transfer.
Important:
The website will be automatically removed from the original account after transfer.
Method 2: Manually transfer using backup and migration
- Log in to the source account and go to the Backup section of the website.
- Download the latest backup of the website.
(See full instructions here)
- Log in to the destination account where you want to transfer the website.
- Use the 10Web Migration Assistant to upload and restore the downloaded backup.
(See guide here)
Note:
This method retains all website data and settings, but does not automatically remove the site from the original account. You can delete it manually if needed.
What happens after the transfer
- The website becomes fully available under the new 10Web account.
- All website content, settings, and connected services are preserved.
- The original account loses access (if using Method 1).
Note:
If using a custom domain, make sure DNS settings are updated post-transfer.
