You have pointed your domain to 10Web but not sure if it has been properly pointed to 10Web. In order to check if your website has been pointed properly, please go to https://dnschecker.org/ and check your website with A record. The IP address on search results should be the same as the one on IPv4 Address under BASIC DETAILS section on Hosting -> Info.
- If when checking with https://dnschecker.org/ the IP addresses match but you still can’t see the website live when opening it on your browser, most probably it is because of DNS cache.
To check it open Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on Macbook) and write down ping domain.com. Where domain.com is your domain which you have pointed to 10Web. On “Reply from 126.96.36.199: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=58” , pay attention to the IP address. If it is not the same IP address as the one on IPv4 Address, it means that you are still seeing the network-cached version. Try to open it with another network (for example mobile network) or just wait until the network cache is cleaned.
- You have pointed your website but when you open it on your browser it redirects to .10web.site subdomain.
This issue can be caused when the domain has been resolved but you have not set your domain as Primary domain. In order to check if you have set it as Primary or not, please navigate to 10Web Dashboard, click on Manage button for the website you have faced an issue with. Navigate to Hosting services -> Domains and check if your domain name is under “PRIMARY DOMAIN” section. If not, click on Make primary button next to your domain name in Additional domains section.
If they don’t match, it means that you need to wait for 48 hours the domain to be resolved. If after 48 hours, the IP addresses still don’t match then you have faced one of these two issues:
- You have not added A record properly or you have not replaced the default nameservers at your domain registrar with 10Web’s nameservers properly.
Please check again if you have done all the steps mentioned in this article correctly.
- If you are using Cloudflare, then most probably there is an issue with Cloudflare proxy.
In order to check if you are using Cloudflare proxy, please open your website in a browser. Right click on a page and select inspect. Go to Network, click on DOC, refresh the page, then click on 10Web. If on Headers tab you see server: cloudflare , then you are using Cloudflare proxy. If you see this, then you should go to Cloudflare and turn off Cloudflare proxy. It should solve your issue.
You have pointed your website but when you open it on your browser it doesn’t open the website and shows ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS . This issue can be caused if you are using Cloudflare. In order to fix this issue, go to CRYPTO section and change SSL from Flexible to Full.
