WordPress Multisite is a configuration that lets multiple websites run on a single WordPress installation. Since all sites in a multisite network share core files and a database, you can manage them all from one WordPress Admin Dashboard.
Multisite is included with every current 10Web plan. For full plan details, see the pricing page.
Note:
10Web does not support migrating an existing multisite network from another host. Only fresh multisite installations can be created.
For more on multisite types and how to create a new multisite network, see the dedicated article. This guide covers managing your multisite network from the 10Web Dashboard.
Managing a multisite network
- Log in to your 10Web account and go to the 10Web Dashboard.
- Find your multisite network's card — it's listed as an interactive card alongside your single-site installations.
- Click Manage to open the Network Dashboard.
From the Network Dashboard you can access:
- My Sites: all websites in the network.
- Main: the WordPress Core Version and any pending plugin/theme updates.
-
Hosting Services:
Credentials: Datacenter, IPv4 address, and SFTP/SSH/Database access credentials.
Tools: the network's caching, PHP version, and other configurations.
Resource Usage: visits and SSD storage over a selected period.
Logs: access, error, and PHP logs. - Backups: automatic daily restore points, plus manual backups.
Important:
Backups apply to the entire multisite network. They cannot be enabled for individual subsites.
To open the WordPress Multisite Admin Dashboard directly, click the Stacked House icon on the network's card in the 10Web Dashboard.
Adding a subsite to your multisite network
You can add any number of sites to your network, as long as there's enough storage for each site's core and wp-content files.
- In the 10Web Dashboard, click Manage on the multisite network's card.
- Go to My Sites.
- Click Add Website.
- Enter the site address, title, and admin email address.
- Click Add Site to create the subsite.
Repeat these steps for each additional subsite.
Note:
The network administrator can also create new subsites from the WordPress Network Admin.
Removing a subsite from the multisite network
- Click Manage on the multisite network's card.
- Go to My Sites.
- Find the subsite you want to remove.
- Click the three vertical dots next to that subsite's Manage button.
- Select Remove.
Important:
The main network site can't be deleted separately from the entire multisite network.
Managing a single subsite
Accessing a subsite's dashboard
There are two ways to open a subsite's dashboard:
From the Multisite Network WP Admin Dashboard:
- Click the drop-down menu under the Stacked House icon.
- Select the subsite from the list.
From the 10Web Multisite Network Dashboard:
- Click My Sites.
- Select the subsite and click Manage.
10Web subsite dashboard menus
Each subsite has its own dashboard with the following menus:
- Main: the WordPress Core Version and any pending plugin/theme updates.
-
Hosting Services:
- Redirects: manage redirect settings for the subsite.
Important:
Other hosting services and tools are managed at the multisite network level, not per subsite.

- Domains: manage domains pointed to the subsite and their DNS records.
- Navigation: create, edit, and manage the subsite's navigation menus.
- Plugins: activate plugins on the entire network or on individual subsites.
